Hydrological Quinary River Lines

The shapefile named HydrologicalQuinaryRivers_20240419 contains a set of river reaches that are compatible with the Hydrological Quinary Catchments, primarily for use in hydrological modelling. Most catchments contain a single river reach, although catchments containing large waterbodies may include two or more converging rivers. Please note that this dataset was not intended to be an updated fine-scale dataset of South Africa’s rivers. This dataset is intended as a complementary dataset to the new hydrological quinary catchments. The purpose of this dataset is to assist in the configuration of the river flow network connecting the hydrological quinary catchments in hydrological models.
